Types of Rigid PCB:
1.Single sided Rigid circuit board
Single-sided Rigid circuit boards have a layer of conductive material on one side of the Rigid substrate. They are used in simple applications that require only one layer of circuitry.
2.Double-sided Rigid PCB
Double-sided Rigid circuit boards have conductive layers on both sides of the Rigid substrate. They are used in more complex applications that require additional circuitry.
3.Multilayer Rigid circuit board
Multilayer Rigid circuit boards are composed of multiple layers of conductive materials with an insulating layer in between. They are used in highly complex applications requiring multiple layers of circuitry.
4.Rigid PCB
Rigid-flex PCB combines rigid and Rigid substrates in a single PCB. They are used in applications that require a combination of flexibility and rigidity, such as complex electronic devices with multiple interconnected components.
Applications of Flex PCB:
1.Consumer Electronics: Rigid PCBs are commonly used in smartphones, tablets, laptops, and wearable devices that have limited space and require flexibility.
Medical Devices: Rigid circuit boards are used in medical devices such as hearing aids, pacemakers and implantable devices where flexibility and compact size are essential.
2.Automotive:In the automotive industry, Rigid PCBs are used in applications such as dashboard displays, sensors and control modules, where they must be able to withstand harsh environments and constant vibration.
3.Aerospace: Rigid PCBs are used in aerospace applications such as satellites, aircraft and missiles, where their lightweight and compact size are critical.
4.Industrial: Rigid circuit boards are used in industrial applications such as robotics, automation and process control where flexibility and durability are important.
